Vocals exist in synthwave across all the different aesthetics and styles. It’s closest to Synth Pop and Electropop in approach but rooted in synthwave community and sounds. This deserves a label less because its a specific style but because it’s a different approach to making synthwave that’s most commonly instrumental. There are both vocalists and artists who excel in this department and some of the best known songs in the community are the vocal ones. Sometimes called Popwave as well.
