Childlike and playful sounds in “Believers” by “Code 64”
“Code 64” presents “Believers”, an energetic synth pop track that can be found on the EP “In Search Of Mysteries”. The song is characterised by its playful and experimental elements, which seem almost childlike and offer a refreshing change from the often more serious synth pop.
The song begins with a lively intro that immediately grabs the listener’s attention. The melodic synthesisers and pulsating beats create an atmosphere that is both nostalgic and futuristic at the same time. Particularly striking are the numerous small, playful sound details that make the song seem like a musical adventure. However, this childlike curiosity that characterises “Believers” could put off some purists of the genre.
Despite this playful component, the song is excellently produced and shows the technical finesse of “Code 64”.
